  1. Gail,
What can I help you with? Remember, you're part of a edtec4matc network now!

  3. If you figure out how to do that, let me know. Or, more possibly, how about getting your students to blog. There is a service called Plink.com that sends out prompts that would work for journals. Maybe you need to work with higher level students so you could do more of this technology with them. What do you think?

  4. I read several articles and viewed several videos from your wiki, and it's like trying to understand a foreign language. This technology jargon is new to me, and it will take time to sink in. This experience does give me a better understanding of how our ESL students must feel in our classes. At present, I use links on Blackboard for reading assignments, and I have found some high interest-low level reading sites that work well. Just getting everyone to log in is a major project, and although it's getting better, I am somewhat hesitant about trying some of these new social technologies. I don't feel comfortable teaching something I don't know very well myself. I am open to suggestions for my project because I don't really know where to begin.

  5. Gail,
Perhaps getting your students started on blogging would be manageable. Have you ever done a Power Point presentation? If so, look at Slideshare? Maybe you could upload a power point and add audio to it? I did a very simple one for our 4th of July program last summer, remember? It was nothing too fancy, and my first attempt at adding audio. You can look at it again by going to: http://www.slideshare.net/ritasimsan2000/god-bless-america-1647162

If you're having trouble with the "jargon," remember there is a terminology page to our wiki. Let me know what's missing that needs to be added, or better yet, go ahead an add it. It's a wiki (collaborative document)!! Remember? :)
